Viola Bernice Shands was born March 24, 1929 to William and Margaret Donally in Walnut Grove, California. She passed away peacefully at home in Acampo on February 2, 2017 at the age of 87. Viola worked as a cook for over 61 years and known for her love of gardening and spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her children; David Shands (Pam) of Acampo, Julie Shands of Acampo, Sam Shands (Therese) of Lodi and Eddie Shands (Kim) of Acampo. Viola was preceded in death by her parents; William and Margaret Donally, and her husband Edward Shands. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, February 18th at 1:00 p.m. at Cherokee Memorial Park, Hwy 99 and Harney Lane, Lodi.
