Kimberly Louise Ripley passed away July 8th, 2018. Just days after her 54th birthday.
Kim was born July 5th, 1964 in Oakland California, to Zack and Janeen Barbee.
She spent her childhood traveling with her family as a military child. Her favorite place being Japan. Right before starting high school the family settled in Lodi, Ca where Kim went to high school, graduating from Tokay High School with the class of 1982.
In 1985 Kim moved to Santa Maria, Ca to be with her parents and sister Shannon Sendejas and to raise her daughter Megan Jenkins. She lived there until she moved back to Lodi in 2003 to be with the love of her life Sam.
Kim was a people person. She made friends everywhere she went. Whether it was at work or the grocery store. She worked various customer service jobs, and accounts payable positions but her favorite was managing BooksWest in Santa Maria because it combined her love of people and of books.
Kim is preceded in death by her father Zack Barbee in 2006. She is survived by her loving husband Sam Ripley. Mother, Janeen Barbee of Lodi Ca. Sister Shannon (James) Sendejas, of Santa Maria, Ca. Daughter Megan Jenkins (Mark Signer), granddaughter Jordan Signer of Abilene Ks. Nieces Jayden and Savannah Harris, and Nephews Zachary and James Sendejas, of Santa Maria, Ca
She loved her family with all her heart: Vacations with her husband, shopping with her mom, talking to her daughter, spending time with her nieces and nephews and loved watching her granddaughter’s sports. She will be greatly missed by many.
