Hazel Haley Lewis, 87, of Lodi, passed away on February 7, 2019 after a long bout with chronic illness. She was surrounded by her family when she crossed over. Hazel was born in Whitner, Arkansas, on March 27, 1931, to Arnold and Arlie McCoy. She graduated from Lodi High in 1949 and was an active member of the 49er’s Club. She worked over 30 years as a medical receptionist for a local physician, Dr. Rogers. Hazel enjoyed painting in her spare time and Sunday dinners with the family.
She is survived by her sons, James (Jeanette) Haley and Jeffrey Haley; grandchildren, Jenna (Dustin) Domingo, Taylor Haley, and James Willis Haley; and nephew, Arthur McCoy. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Janice Johnson; brother, Trellen McCoy; 1st husband, James Haley; and 2nd husband, Darwin Lewis.
A graveside service will be held on February 14th, at 10am at Cherokee Memorial Park. There is no visitation. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at Ham Lane Church of Christ where she was a member.
